Though handwashing is an important task for our children to master, teaching them not to waste precious resources such as water, is just as important.
As with all lessons in life, we as parents must practice them first and be the examples our children learn from.
Don't leave the water running while washing dishes or brushing teeth
Take shorter showers
Car washing using buckets
Recycling greywater into the garden (not vegetables or fruit)
"If it's yellow let it mellow. If it's brown flush it down." Not all households will like this one
